Earlier this week, 44-year old Two And A Half Men actor Charlie Sheen plead guilty to a misdemeanor charge of third-degree assault in the Christmas day attack of his wife, Brooke Mueller, last year.
Sheen decided to plea guilty after coming to a plea bargain with lawyers. The bargain included dropping two more serious charges- a criminal mischief misdemeanor and a felony charge of menacing. From the bargain, Sheen will avoid jail time so long as he spends 30 days in a rehabilitation center, completes 30 days of probation and 36 hours of domestic violence and anger management counseling.
Sheen also faced charges of domestic violence and assault in the 1996 attack of his girlfriend. Sheen plead no contest to the charges and served two years of probation.
