Last Wednesday in Los Angeles, Martin Lawrence filed for divorce from his wife, Shamicka.

The 47-year-old and his soon to be ex-wife were married in 2010 after dating for several years and becoming parents to two girls. Lawrence, who starred in “Big Momma’s House,” claimed in the paperwork that the divorce was due to irreconcilable differences.

News of the divorce was publicized on Monday by several tabloid sites. The paperwork outlines the couple’s prenuptial agreement, and also shows that Lawrence is seeking joint custody of their 9-year-old and 11-year-old daughters.
