A rise in mothers paying child support has been seen across the United States by numerous divorce attorneys.

The results of a study conducted by the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers show that, in recent years, mothers have become more responsible for the financial well-being of their children after a divorce.

Out of the lawyers that participated in the survey, 56 percent of them noted this transition of child support payments. These divorce lawyers noticed that more mothers were being held financially accountable for their children after divorce.
