The New England Patriots match up against the New York Giants for this season’s game at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.  New York Giants’ quarterback Eli Manning will lead his team with plans to defeat the Patriots for the second time at the Super Bowl.  The Giants beat the Patriots four years ago in the 2008 Super Bowl.

New England Patriots record this season is 15-3 with 10 consecutive wins.  The Giants record is 12-7, and have been on a winning streak toward the end of the regular season beating top-seeded Green Bay Packers, Atlanta Falcons, and second-seeded San Francisco 49ers for the NFC Championship.

Clemson Tigers will face the West Virginia Mountaineers in this ACC/Big East matchup.  Dana Holgerson, West Virginia head coach, has a tough road ahead going into this game as two key players, running back Dustin Garrison and safety Terrence Garvin, have injured themselves during bowl week practice.

WVU has a record of 9-3, and Clemson has a record of 10-3. Tajh Boyd, Clemson quarterback, is the Tigers’ key player who will face the team he was originally supposed to play for this season until he switched to Clemson at the last minute.

On Monday, Davis and Harper visited the Walt Disney Pavilion at Florida Hospital for Children and met the children with presents and laughter.  Holiday songs were sung, and Davis even played a game of Twister with a few patients.

The Magic forward Davis states, “Christmas is a special holiday. It’s where families get together and enjoy life…I just want to see all these kids smile. That’s the most important thing.”

The month of November is also recognized as National Adoption Month.  On the first of the month, the U.S. State Department held a ceremony to kick off the month and bring attention to the children in the United States and abroad waiting to be adopted.  ”During this month, the U.S. government calls attention to the thousands of children in foster care in the United States and the millions of children around the world who are in need of a loving and permanent family,” stated an official from the State Department.

Of the 463,000 children in the U.S. foster care system, 114,000 are waiting to be adopted.
